Apple Tops Customer Satisfaction Survey For AT&T And Verizon

Apple Tops Customer Satisfaction Survey For AT&T And VerizonWhile customer satisfaction does not always translate into more sales, it is a feather that is worthy of sticking into one’s cap and as far as AT&T and Verizon customer satisfaction is concerned, Apple has managed to grab the number one spot. This is according to J.D. Power’s recently released smartphone satisfaction survey in which the four major carriers were surveyed regarding customer satisfaction. While Apple might have the competition beat on AT&T and Verizon, that cannot be said for T-Mobile and Sprint.

For the other two carriers, it looks like Apple’s rival, Samsung, has them beat. However it should be noted that on Sprint, Samsung edged Apple out with a ranking of 853, versus Apple’s 849, which is admittedly a pretty close call. It has been suggested that perhaps there is a good chance Apple might have beaten Samsung on Sprint as Apple’s new iPhones had only just gone on sale during the survey period, meaning that not as many units were sold yet. In any case the next survey might tell a whole different story so that will definitely be worth looking out for. In the meantime what do you guys think? Do you agree with J.D. Power’s findings?

AT&T Announces $5 Day Pass For Tablet Users

AT&T Announces $5 Day Pass For Tablet Users

Companies release tablets in both Wi-Fi only and Wi-FI plus cellular compatibility configurations. Tablet sales have skyrocketed over the past few years, and Wi-Fi only models have raked in considerably more customers than their cellular compatible counterparts. That’s because Wi-Fi only tablets tend to be cheaper, and the perfect option for those who are content with connecting to a Wi-Fi network whenever the need for a data connection arises. Mobile carriers don’t make any money off of them, and most customers who do have cellular compatible tablets, usually try to connect to a Wi-Fi network when they can to save on data charges. AT&T has a new plan that provides data to customers and brings in money, a $5 day pass that’s compatible with 3G and LTE compatible tablets.

A clear benefit of this new plan is geared towards travellers, who can simply pay $5 for a day’s worth of data access that ends up being cheaper than the usually expensive hotel Wi-Fi. $5 will give them 250MB of mobile data each day, the carrier says that it will make it easy for customers to purchase day passes through their tablets. Those who want more data allowance can pay $25 for 1GB that can be utilized within a three month period. The $5 day pass obviously won’t be enough for those who want to stream videos and download excessively on their tablets, but it should do the trick for business travellers who want to keep up with their emails, news and the occasional web browsing session.

EVLeaks Show Off Galaxy S4 Zoom For AT&TThe serial leaksters over at @evleaks are at it again, where this time around, they have revealed what seems to be a press photo of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom that will be headed in the direction of AT&T. This does seem to be an unlocked device, and in the leaked photo, it shows off the AT&T brand complete with carrier identification and official apps, which would mean that we could very well be looking at an AT&T subsidized version in the near future. Great news for those who have always wanted a better camera in their smartphone, but do not really have the budget to pick up one in an unlocked model, right?

The 16-megapixel Galaxy S4 Zoom can be said to be an interesting mixture of the Samsung Galaxy Camera as well as the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. Would you want to pick up this camera cum smartphone hybrid when it arrives? Just to recap, the Galaxy S4 Zoom will arrive with a 4.3” qHD display with a resolution of 960×540, a dualp-core 1.5GHz chipset with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean in tow. It is not the lightest nor smallest handset from Samsung, as it tips the scales at 208grams while measuring 15.4mm thick.
