Motorola’s Polaroid mod brings your digital selfies to life
Gone are the days when you had to carry around a big Polaroid camera just to get instant prints of your photos. There are countless portable printers available on the market today that will let you print photos instantly. If you happen to own a Moto Z handset, you can also get the new Polaroid Insta-Share Printer Moto Mod that Motorola has announced today. As the name suggests, this Moto Mod will give you instant prints of your photos.
The Moto Z series is Motorola’s modular line of smartphones. There are a variety of mods available that enable users to enhance the capabilities of their handsets.
This is one of the more useful mods that have been released for the Moto Z handsets. We first saw the Polaroid Mod at the Mobile World Congress 2017 in February where it was unveiled alongside the Alexa speaker that’s also shipping this week.
This mod sticks a small photo printer onto the back of the smartphone. It doesn’t enhance the camera’s abilities as the mod has a cut out that gives way to the handset’s onboard camera.
The mod relies on ZINK technology to print 2×3 inch photos from the handset’s internal memory as well as from apps like Instagram, Facebook, and Google Photos.
The Polaroid Insta-Share Printer Moto Mod will be available for purchase from Motorola.com and Verizon starting November 17th for $199.99.
