In the past, Apple has gotten a fair amount of flak regarding working conditions in the factories of their partners, such as Foxconn. Apple has since made efforts to change that perception by instating rules and regulations that would ensure that their manufacturing partners adhere to certain guidelines.
In fact these guidelines extend to the use of conflict material in Apple products to ensure that certain components are not sourced from particular regions in the world. However it seems that despite Apple’s best practices to ensure that their partners follow their guidelines, there are some who feel that Apple has not done enough. (more…)
